If
you love the monster brass sounds of great bands like 'Chicago' and
'Blood Sweat & Tears' and equally enjoy the smooth jazz feel of singers
like Natalie Cole, then you'll love Australia's very own The Pacific
Coast Horns.
Originally formed some years ago as the resident band for the now
famous QANTAS Revue, held annually at The North Sydney Leagues Club,
it wasn't long before the exceptionally fine vocal skills of Maree
Dalby was added to make this outstanding ensemble complete.
With each member capable of performing multiple musical styles, it
became a natural progression to offer a wide ranging musical repertiore
based upon the driving horn sounds featured so predominately in Rock,
R & B, Pop, Soul, Jazz, Big Band and Stage tunes.
Welcome to the sounds of The Pacific Coast Horns.

|
Almost twenty years
of playing Drums and Percussion, covering a wide
range of styles, has made Wendy a much sought
after Drummer. As a former Music Teacher, Wendy

Wayne
Gooda
Guitar
|
A student of the
Guitar now for over thirty years is how Wayne
relates to his passion for playing the Guitar.
Whatever style, whatever sound and whoever is
playing, just as long as he is there to hear
it being performed, nothing compares to live
music. With influences covering every style from
Andre Segovia to Frank Zappa, Wes Montgomery
to Jimi Hendrix, Wayne is still searching for
that unique and elusive sound.

An exceptional and
multi talented player, Peter comes to us with
many skills and we are very fortunate to harness
his amazing talents on his chosen instrument,
the Precision Bass. His varied influences include
Musical Theatre, Jazz, Rock, Classical and anything
that has a pounding Bass groove. Just don't ever
challenge him to any Musical Theatre trivia,
you will be amazed at his depth of knowledge.

Reg Darwell
Trumpet
|
As the 'Elder Statesman'
of the Band and resident motor sports competitor,
Reg sets the pace for the others to follow, if
only we could keep up with him. The Trumpet has
been a welcome partner and friend for most of
his life and his musical influences are far too
many to mention. As the hard working Musical
Director for the famous QANTAS Revue, 'Uncle
Reg' finds TPCH a gratifying release.

Rob Jardine

|
The father of some
very gifted and talented musicians, and himself
an amazing Trumpet player, you can certainly
see why Rob fits right in to the horn line-up
of TPCH. With a strong Jazz background, his warm
and unassuming style compliments everything we
do at TPCH, just don't put him on the same racetrack
as Reg though!....it could get ugly!

David

Trumpet
|
The incredible Trumpet,
Cornet, Flugel, Valve Trombone and Tuba sounds
that you hear in any TPCH performance, may come
from this amazing player. David has been playing
horns now for many years and still astounds his
fellow members with his playing skill and his
welcome sense of humour. Another Jazz player
who appreciates any musical style, David always
knows just the right time to 'let go' and showcase
the rich and pure horn sounds that we all love.

Also known as 'Torana
Dave' or 'Ravey Davey' to his friends, our resident

and beat the Djembe occasionally. With incredible
influences that include Jimi Hendrix, John Coltrane,
John Zorn, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Steve Vai, & Saffet
Gundegger (wild crazy Turkish sax/clarinet player)
you can see why we need to keep Dave chained
to the stage during performances.
